Capital Campaign Update

As of Tuesday, April 23rd our new total that has been received in pledges and gifts for our capital campaign is $1,167,155.29.  This is 46.7% of our total goal of $2.5 million dollars.  This was a good week in receiving pledges from those who have attending campaign receptions. Please remember that every parishioner will eventually have the opportunity to come and hear more details about our Legacy Campaign and the exciting work that will be soon underway on our parish facilities. Your generosity is making all this happen!

Let’s continue to move the giving percentage closer and closer to our $2.5 million goal!

News on our projects:

Church Organ—The blower is scheduled to be installed on Monday, April 29th. The organ will be tuned throughout that same week, thus being back in use for the first weekend of May.

Property Acquisition—The Phase 1 environmental study is finally complete.  We now have a green light to purchase the property on the corner of Iberia and Washington St. The paperwork and the corporate resolution should be completed by the end of April.

Debt for Church Roof Repair—With the amount of money that has already been received from campaign pledges, we have been able to pay off the debt still owed for the church roof repair.  This was one of the items in the package for this Legacy Campaign.

Adoration Chapel—The final architectural plans are still in the works. Once completed, these plans will go to the Diocese for final approval.

Church Painting and Lighting—The work on the church is slated to begin on May 14th. In the next few weeks, we will roll out the plan of logistics concerning how Mass will be celebrated for weekends and weekdays. Stay tuned!
